Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for event management, allowing authorized users or authorities to distribute and display emergency communications on digital displays. In one aspect, an emergency management communications system receives event data sent by an emergency detections system comprised of a network of sensors. The emergency management communications system processes the event data to determine an event perimeter, and then selects one or more digital displays based upon the event data or the determined event perimeter. Next, the emergency management communications system authors one or more emergency communications corresponding to the one or more digital displays and sends said one or more emergency communications to said one or more digital display, thereby allowing the one or more digital displays to display the corresponding one or more emergency communications to the affected populations.

Abstract: A computer automated system and method comprising configuring a single or plurality of mobile devices over a network, validating the configured devices, and communicating contextual information to the configured devices. The devices are authenticated and the authentication is sent to a server over the network, when a contextual service, controlled/offered by the server through a contextual service point in communication with the server, is invoked by the configured mobile device in the vicinity of the contextual service point. The mobile device is then enabled to consume a contextual service, offered by and delivered at the contextual service point, either from within the mobile device or over the network.

HYBRID SYSTEM & METHOD FOR DATA AND FILE CONVERSION ACROSS COMPUTING DEVICES AND PLATFORMS


Abstract: Embodiments disclosed include a computer-automated system including a processing unit coupled to a memory element and having instructions encoded thereon, the instructions cause the system to: via a network, receive a document in a first format, and via an assessment engine, determine the first format of the received document. The assessment engine is also configured to determine if the determined first format can be converted to a second desired format for printing or display, and if the determined first format can be converted to the second desired format, a conversion engine is caused to convert the received document to the second desired format. If the determined first format cannot be converted to the second desired format, a network routing engine routes the document over the network to a cloud-based conversion engine. Further, the cloud-based conversion engine is messaged over the network, wherein the message further incorporates an instruction to convert the routed document from the first format to the desired second format. The computer-automated system can then receive, over the network, from the cloud-based converter, the routed document, in the desired second format, and print or display the received routed document, in the desired second format.

HYBRID SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DATA AND FILE CONVERSION ACROSS COMPUTING DEVICES AND PLATFORMS

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed include a computer-automated system and method to receive a document in a first format, and via an assessment engine, determine the first format of the received document. The assessment engine is also configured to determine if the determined first format can be converted to a second desired format for printing or display, and if the determined first format can be converted to the second desired format, a conversion engine is caused to convert the received document to the second desired format. If the determined first format cannot be converted to the second desired format, a network routing engine routes the document over the network to a cloud-based conversion engine. Alternatively, partial conversion is implemented by the conversion and cloud-based conversion engine. Further, the cloud-based conversion engine is messaged over the network, wherein the message further incorporates an instruction to convert the routed document from the first format to the desired second format. The computer-automated system can then receive, over the network, from the cloud-based converter, the routed document, in the desired second format, and print or display the received routed document, in the desired second format.

The system and method includes generating, by a printer driver comprised in the user device, a user interface comprising features supported by a plurality of printing devices. Further, it includes receiving via the user device over the network, a print instruction comprising the features supported by the plurality of printing devices connected to the computer system over the network. And based on the print instruction, generating a print job in an embodiment. Further, based on the user authentication at one of the plurality of printing devices, converting via a gateway, the received print instruction into a format compatible with that printing device and releasing the generated print job for printing at that printing device, according to an embodiment.
